Why Dijan Training?
As an Aboriginal Community Controlled Registered Training Organisation (RTO 46458), Dijan Training is committed to strengthening the Aboriginal workforce through practical, culturally safe and community-focused training. Training is delivered by experienced health professionals and qualified Aboriginal Health Practitioners who bring extensive real-world experience and a deep understanding of the communities they serve.
This structure will look much stronger on the website and is consistent with what prospective students, employers and funding bodies expect to see when assessing training providers. It also better aligns with Dijan’s AHPRA accreditation aspirations and positions the organisation as a serious Aboriginal health training provider rather than simply a course advertiser.
Who we are
Dijan Training is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, one of the largest Primary Health Care providers servicing remote communities from across the Big Rivers Region of the NT.
Dijan Training draws upon the trust and experience of the Dijan Board, Management and staff to ensure that our training is relevant, culturally appropriate and is meeting industry needs. Dijan Training was born from the Sunrise Directors vision to deliver training on country and improve the lives their members.
Primary Health Care and Health in general is very much the focus of training for Dijan. Our primary aims are to ensure that the training meets the needs of the community, will put learners on a pathway towards employment and is not training for the sake of training.
